Mardi Gras St. Louis

Because of St. Michael's close proximity to the Soulard neighborhood, host of the Mardi Gras Celebration, lack of parking, huge crowds of revelers, We button down the hatch at St. Michael on the Saturday before Fat Tuesday. There will be no Vespers on Saturday, Febuary 18, 2012. Remember dear ones, the carnival week preceeding Great and Holy Lent is for the purpose of consuming the last remaining flesh meats in one's cupboards before the begining of the Lenten Fast. It is not an excuse for revelry, gluttony, drunkeness, fornication, and licentiousnss which is what Mardi Gras has become. There will be Divine Liturgy at 9:30 AM on Sunday, February 19h, 2012
